About Canton Fair
China Import and Export Fair, also known as the “Canton Fair”, is established in 1957. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of PRC and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province and organized by China Foreign Trade Centre, it is held every spring and autumn in Guangzhou, China. Canton Fair is a comprehensive international trading event with the longest history, the largest scale, the most complete exhibit variety, the largest buyer attendance, the broadest distribution of buyers’ source country and the greatest business turnover in China.
Why is Canton Fair held online?
In response to the severe global COVID-19 epidemic situation, the Ministry of Commerce decided that the 127th Canton Fair will be held online on June 15th-24th, 2020. Domestic and foreign merchants are widely invited to display products online, using advanced information technology, providing 24h/10 online promotion, supply and purchase matching, online negotiation and other services to create an online trade platform for high-quality specialty products, so that Chinese and foreign merchants can place orders and do business without leaving the house.
